 7:00 a.m.    Introduction
 7:02 a.m.   WVU & United Way – This Program features interviews with
                  most of the WVU Basketball Players, the coaches, and support
                  staff that came for a mini-camp for children of Marion County.
                  Also interviewed were Tiffany Samuels, executive director of

                 
United Way, and some of the children. WVU players and coaches
                  talk about being honored they can give back to the community
                  that supports them. You’ll see them working with the children,
                  shooting among themselves in competition, and holding an
                  informal dunk contest.
 8:00 a.m.   Summer Basketball at West Fairmont Girls Gym - This 25 year
                  old program brings together teams from around the area to
                  play against each other in a month long summer league. On
                  this segment we focus on the boys. David Retton of West
                  Fairmont and Bill Bennett, coach of Robert C. Byrd High School,
                  are interviewed and then about 10 minutes of the game can be
                  seen. The game was won in the closing seconds.

     Roosevelt-Wilson, Washington-Irving Reunion Alumni
                  Basketball Game. May 30, 2008 at Robert C. Byrd High School
                  to benefit American Cancer Society for former R-W coach Doug
                  Hogue. - Many Fairmonters came from Clarksburg and attended
                  these two schools which ended their rivalry 17 years ago in
                  merger. In a unique and special setting with over 4,000 people
                  attending, players and students gathered to play an alumni
                  basketball game.
                  But it was not just a normal game. It benefited the American
                  Cancer Society and honored Mrs. Janice Hogue, beloved wife of
                  former R-W coach Doug Hogue, who died of cancer March 16, 2008.
                  Her husband, now principal of W-I Middle School, is now battling
                  cancer himself. All the players who came to play and honor Coach
                  Hogue and support the American Cancer Society will bring tears
                  of sorrow and yet expressions of gratitude to those who view
                  the program.
                  Those attending but not playing were Clayce Kisbaugh, great
                  guard with Hot Rod Hundley on WVU’s basketball team in the
                  early 50’s; Jeff Schneider, W-I and Virginia Tech’s All-American.
                  He is the only player in WV Basketball History to be voted state
                  player of the year twice. Names that might be familiar include
                  Bob Ferrell, the leading scorer in the nation at one time with
                  Davis & Elkins; Jim Crutchfield, basketball coach at West Liberty,
                  Chris George who has the all time football receiving record in
                  the nation at Glenville State, and Chris Meighen, who played both
                  at Fairmont and in Clarksburg and then completed his career
                  at University of North Carolina at Wilmington. A very unique
                  interview was with Al Cox, the radio and PA announcer who
                  recalls his time with Nick Fantasia, Sr. and Jay Randolph at WHAR
                  in Clarksburg.

  I Am Fletcher Golden. This Power Point traces the life of the
                  “Father who inspired Father’s Day.” Rev. Golden was the father
                  of Grace Golden Clayton whose inspiration led to the first
                  service 100 years ago this year, on July 5, 1908.
11:26 a.m.   CROP Walk - This walk to benefit Church World Hunger is
                  sponsored by the Greater Fairmont Council of Churches. We
                  walk the route, talking to some of the participants and viewing
                  some of the sights along the way. The coordinator of the
                  event, Rev. Scott Ingleton is interviewed as well as the Police
                  Reserve and the “Blister Bus”.
11:46 a.m.
  3 Rivers Parade. This parade held on Thursday, May 22, 2008
                  is shown in its entirety. Highlights include the Clydesdale
                  Horses and the Oscar Mayer Weimer Mobile. Bands from East
                  and West Fairmont are shown, 3 Rivers Participants and
                  Beauty Queens.
12:34 p.m.   3 Rivers Educational Day. 2 Events are shown from the
                  Carnegie Science Center: Fractured Physics is presented at
                  Parables Limited Place on Monroe St. as students learn about
                  the laws of physics. The second is the “Weather Game:
                  Hurricane or Tornado” presented at the Fairmont Elks Club.
 1:00 p.m.    3 Rivers Palatine Park. Highlights include the illusion of Josh
                  Knotts from Weirton who is on a national tour; the lady who
                  drives the Oscar Mayer Weiner mobile, and one of the 6
                  trainers who handle the Clydesdales.

Project Graduation - 4 Hours of Taping are condensed into this
                  50 minute program. Special interviews with Gary and Roberta
                  Steele. Roberta has been the coordinator for the past 12 years.
                  Students from the various schools are interviewed. Games are
                  shown and prizes are viewed. Singing is shown and people at
                  the Concession Booth and the 3 different schools are interviewed.
                  However, some mistakes were made and the interviews with
                  West and East Fairmont support staff was not taped.
 2:25 p.m.   1999 FSHS Percussion Ensemble. Former band director Barry
                  Vingle directs this ensemble in national performance action
                  in 1999.
