JOHN
McCUTCHEON:
HIS
THOUGHTS
AND
MUSIC
John
McCutcheon
appeared
at
Prickett’s
Fort
on
August
,
2009.
He
was
gracious
enough
to
grant
an
interview
with
me
the
following
day
at
the
Holiday
Inn.
He
also
gave
me
permission
to
air
his
music.
It
is
hopeful
you,
the
viewer,
will
like
his
music
so
much
as
to
purchase
his
albums
or
download
his
tunes
from
various
sites.
He
sings
two
wonderful
songs,
“There’s
Room
at
the
Top
of
the
Stairs,”
in
which
he
describes
the
empty
room
where
his
child
grew
up
in
and
all
the
memories
attached
there.
In
the
second
song,
“I
Am
Here,”
he
sings
the
song
he
wrote
for
the
Copperstown
Baseball
Hall
of
Fame
describing
how
all
of
us
are
part
of
the
Hall
of
Fame.
He
also
describes
his
journeys
to
WV,
his
introduction
to
folk
music,
the
influence
of
many
people,
and
the
radical
nature
of
Christianity
which
has
been
overlooked.
